Today, I share some personal news: I have accepted the role of president at Iowa State University. This decision was not made lightly. Kate and I have cherished our time at NDSU and the incredible people who make this university so special. Serving as NDSU's president has been an honor. Together, we stabilized enrollment, improved retention, celebrated a 12% increase in graduates this past spring, and elevated NDSU's research profile to record levels. We strengthened partnerships and deepened community engagement, all while advancing NDSU's mission as a student-focused, land-grant, R1 research university. I will begin my leadership at Iowa State University on March 1. I have deep trust in the talented people here and confidence in NDSU's bright future.
