@AnfieldSector Salah is NOT on that level. Idc if Gerrard says it 3 times or 10 times. Salah isn't even better than Hazard.

Steven Gerrard on Mohamed Salah: “When I was at my peak and I felt like I could play and compete against any individual or I felt I could influence games at the top level, I still felt there were a bunch of players that operated on a different level. So in my time that would have been Ronaldinho, for example, [Cristiano] Ronaldo, [Lionel] Messi, [Zinedine] Zidane, these bunch of players, Xavi and [Andres] Iniesta, where you felt as if they were just freaks when it came down to the level of football. Salah’s in that level, Salah is in that level. Don’t let anyone else tell you any different – he’s in that level.”

On this day in 1983, Brighton faced Manchester Utd in the FA Cup final. Much of the build-up was overshadowed by their 45-year-old manager, Jimmy Melia, and his relationship with 27-year-old former beauty queen, Val Lloyd. “He, pulled her?!”

A family friend has sadly passed away. Could all the Reds please share this? He was a massive Red and never missed a game since he was a young boy standing on the Kop a proper Red through and through. Many of you who go to the match will know him. R.I.P Spadgy YNWA ❤️

@LFCVine Ia different ball game as arne slot has found setting up Liverpool to face teams with 11 behind the ball every week to setting Bournemouth up to play against teams attacking them We need to be shopping top shelf like we did for Klopp and Rafa not middle shelf for Slot and Rogers

@LFCLaurie We've only had real success when we've shopped top draw for managers post 1990. Houllier - top draw, hugely respected Benitez - top draw Klopp- top draw Rogers- up and coming Hodgson - middle of the road Slot- up and coming. Won the league, but still inexperienced for me

Iraola scares me a bit because from Potter, Frank and Rodgers, we've seen that overachieving midtable managers don't take the leap well. But you know what, he plays the best football in the league, has Bournemouth into Europe, seems likeable and is an upgrade on what we have.

@mike13cowan @michaelevansuk Seemingly so. Manager won't deviate from a style that has brought 20 losses and a training schedule that seemingly has us gassed after 50 mins, Maybe Mo after working with him everyday is highlighting that he doesn't think he is the man for Liverpool?

@michaelevansuk @johnbrab That’s the thing for me. “It needed to be said!” Why? Was everyone unaware that the standards had slipped and we weren’t performing as we expected. Did we need him to tell us something we already knew?

Are we still going on about Salah? Give it a fucking rest. There’s either a messiah complex going on, or he’s the worst of the worst. He’s a human being with the same flaws as the rest of us. There’s been a large slice of truth in what he’s said, but also personal bitterness.

@TheRedmenTV My favourite LFC player of the last ten years. Loved watching him week in week out. His energy, drive, consistency, passion, assists, crosses I've been watching LFC since the early 80s and a student of our history before, he is top 3 LBs for the club for me. YNWA Robbo lad

@FormerylNurgle @implausibleblog It is. They go in the bars at lunch and get hammered and then come back to the chamber pissed or are doing their day to day constituency work pissed. Make the bars dry and stop subdising them with tax payers money. Not sure what the issue is?

Hannah Spencer, "In Gorton and Denton we have to pay full price for a pint, but here for some reason it's cheaper, and some MPs drink before voting" *groans from other MPs as if they've been asked to leave a pub at closing time* "That really shocked me when I came to parliament because it is our workplace" "Does the prime minister agree with his own MPs who defend their right to drink cheap alcohol at work?" "Or does he agree with me that MPs shouldn't be drinking on the job, given that we vote on huge things, like the climate crisis, disabled people's rights, housing, child poverty" Keir Starmer, "Um, can I first welcome her to her place as this is her first PMQs" "Look there are going to be different views on whether people should be able to enjoy a drink here or not"

@spike1003 @postyourtoast @implausibleblog Yeah they did and when I started work in the 90s we would go and have a pint on our lunch in the local pub and come back and climb ladders etc, You can't do that now You haven't been able to for around 20 years and would get sacked if you tired it

@postyourtoast @johnbrab @implausibleblog The Civil Service used to have bars within its offices. The Land Registry in Stevenage office had a bar open at lunchtime & it was used by the DHSS office staff in the building above it. The Post Office/BT had bars in loads of buildings when I joined in 86.

❌ The referee for Man Utd's win over Nottingham Forest has been left out of the Premier League's final round of games. Michael Salisbury allowed Matheus Cunha's goal to stand, despite Bryan Mbeumo handling the ball in the build-up.
