I’d love someone nasty in this Liverpool team capable of leaving a foot in when the situation calls for it. We are a team of choirboys. Zero aggression. Long time since we’ve had such a player. Probably Gerrard?

I’d be dead sound with this season being simply a transitional one and just accepting next season will be better, but our style of football is so bad, I don’t know how we are going to be better. The football we play is soulless.

@Carl_M79 @adamrowecomedy @SamCrook7 Was it the coach bringing a mid on for a striker 4 mins in when he had 2 fresh attackers on the bench? Or is that on the players? buck stops with him,if they aren't doing it he has to make sure they are ! Say what you like about Moyes..all of his players sweat blood for him

@adamrowecomedy @SamCrook7 I sort of hope they do now, as it'll prove quite quickly that our problem is not the coach.

He should be thanked, appreciated and gratefully relieved from his job. Last season was incredible, it’ll live with all of us forever. He’s got to go. Both can be true.

Arne Slot: "As much as I dislike us losing here today, Brighton away has always been a difficult one and will always be a difficult one as long as they keep bringing in so many good players. But there are other games where we should have picked up more points, like last week against Tottenham. That is far more unacceptable than this. But even away at Brighton, a club like Liverpool should be able to get a result." (TNT)

Liverpool's form has been the same underwhelming story since Christmas, sluggish tempo, no urgency, easily outrun, and dropping points against sides we should beat. The problems are fucking obvious, but FSG, along with Richard Hughes and Michael Edwards, have sat on their hands and done fuck all to address them. The longer they’ve let this go on the harder job it’s going to be for the next manger coming in. Same old story, same old Liverpool and same old predictable Arne Slot. #LFC

Chelsea before Abromovich took over, had won 1 English title & had begging bowls to collect money from fans and a car park behind the goal. Their recent fine does not fit their crime, theres most probably more we don’t know about. Hope Everton fans are all over this tomoro.

When Liverpool Sold Aldo... John Aldridge's exit from Liverpool in September 1989 for a fee of approximately £1.1 million was a highly emotional departure, primarily driven by the return of Ian Rush and a perceived lack of game time under manager Kenny Dalglish. Despite scoring 31 goals in the 1988/89 season, Aldridge was sold to the Spanish club Real Sociedad, where he became the first non-Basque player to sign for them in several decades. After a season at Juventus, Rush returned to Anfield. Dalglish shifted the team's system to a 4-4-2 that favoured the partnership of Rush and Peter Beardsley, leaving Aldridge as a substitute. In the early 1989-90 season, Aldridge saw limited minutes, featuring in only two games. He felt his career was being wasted on the bench and wanted regular first-team football to secure his place in the Republic of Ireland's 1990 World Cup squad. Aldridge has since described a "sour" exit, citing an incident where he was asked to play two reserve matches in one day as a 30-year-old, which he felt signalled "the writing was on the wall" for his Liverpool career: “I played for the B team, and I put a right stint in scored as well. Afterwards, I was told I had to play again that night against Stafford Rangers. I was knackered, but I did it. I couldn’t sleep that night, so I went to see Kenny the next day. I walked into the office and told him a few home truths, which he probably wasn’t happy with. I respect the manager, but I don’t respect having to play two games in one day as a 30-year-old. The writing was on the wall from there.” Aldridge's final game was a legendary 9-0 victory over Crystal Palace on 12 September 1989. Coming on as a substitute, he scored a penalty (pictured) with his first touch to make it 6-0. After the final whistle, a distraught Aldridge threw his shirt and boots into the Kop, emotionally saying goodbye to his boyhood club: “I wanted to stay forever. I was ready to fight for my place, score another two or three dozen goals, and earn a new contract. But Kenny said no. You’re leaving.” Aldridge was a goal machine for Liverpool, scoring 63 goals in 104 games with 50 of them in the league and back then the Reds were serving a six-year European ban. What a player, Scouser! ❤️ Via (Lansdowne Road) #LFC #YNWA

@Carra23 That Liverpool team didn't play in the current PL though. Time machine Klopps best Liverpool sides into this PL and they'd look closer to Slots current Liverpool in terms of fun and quality than what people remember of Liverpool.

With Salah out, would you stick with the current formation against Brighton and start Chiesa/Gakpo/Rio up top with Ekitike? 🤔
