Within just 48 hours of the Tories refusing to sack Nick Timothy for his Islamophobic comments, the far-right is circulating a list of MPs “of foreign descent” trying to “silence” him. This is what happens when racism is normalised from the top: democratically elected representatives being told that we shouldn't be allowed to make decisions here at all, and even that we should leave the country. It’s a racist attack on our very democracy. Will Nick and his party condemn it?

I condemn in the strongest terms the overnight Iranian strike on a Qatari gas facility. We are working towards a swift resolution to the situation in the Middle East, in the best interests of the British people – because there is no question that ending the war is the quickest way to reduce the cost of living.

We all know why Nick Timothy MP singles out Muslims celebrating Ramadan in Trafalgar Sq. Not because praying is domination, but because he wants to blow a rabid anti-Muslim dog whistle for political gain. He should be nowhere near politics, let alone the shadow front bench.

As a Christian, I am pleased that we allow Muslims to meet and pray in Trafalgar Square. It means we live in a country where freedom of religion and respect for others is still alive. It is not, as the Faragists are now claiming, divisive.

Every kWh produced by renewables means using less expensive gas. It’s time we got off the fossil fuel roller-coaster that has seen prices rise. We also need to end the conflict in Middle East - that the right wing offensively supported - to reduce prices.

@UKLabour I don't believe what Ed is spouting. The UK produces less than 1% of the world's CO2 we are dependant on other countries for our oil and gas which we still and always will require. So why be at risk of losing supply when we can easily produce our own. Net 0 but broke. Well done

Reading the news in bed and catching up about fuel prices. I flick to my solar & i'm producing enough to run my house & top up my battery. I'll start exporting soon and help the grid & get some credit. It's 3° & cloudy. We need more rooftop solar ans battery storage!

I am grateful to everyone working to protect Ukraine and to all who support our defense. We are working as hard as possible to enhance the protection of our sky. Bolstering Ukrainian Air Force means a greater ability to deter Russian aggression and to provide more security for Ukraine and all of Europe.
