Totally understand this BTW.
I was hoping that Dallas would use free agency to grab 4-5 starters and really improve their depth.
But I've come to the conclusion that they are never going to treat FA that way. So the only way to get stars is to draft them early.

@Marcus_Mosher I feel like it makes them better than drafting one stud. I feel like that’s how defense is, it’s about the sum of the parts and everyone doing their job. I think the ‘23 defense with Micah sucked. They padded the EPA bc of turnovers but were destroyed by almost every good offense

Remember when we switched away from the 3-4 to the 4-3 and all celebrated?
- I don’t want to see Micah dropping into coverage like ever
- A 3-4 promotes heavy zone and we already sit enough in zone.
I’m tired of “bend but don’t break” I want to see an aggressive defense.

The Cowboys don’t have a single healthy EDGE that can consistently win as a pass rusher.
Focus on that instead of a freaking 4i

Take the emotions out of it.
Paying 16 mill for a rotational DT wasn’t smart, Dallas got a 3rd and moved the contract.
This defense is 2-3 years away. 1-2 if they strike gold, but Dallas getting a 3rd was probably the best they’d ever get.

@SaadYousuf126 Osa, Micah, DC. Niners are always competitive and even being injury-ridden last season, they were still successful. Packers were 9-3-1 before Micah went down, and DC...well....

More numbers on Hargrave. In 2021-22 (33 games) under Packers DC Jonathan Gannon in Philly, Hargrave’s 18.5 sacks when lined up at DT were the second most in the NFL among DTs (Cam Heyward, 19.5). In 3 seasons (35 games) since, Hargrave has 11.5 sacks, including 3.5 last season.

Crosby will remain a Raider for now as other teams can weigh any potential risk that comes with trading for him.
