I do find it interesting that in a year where the Lions have been super cutthroat: • Trading Montgomery • Releasing Decker after he didn’t take a pay cut • Letting basically every internal FA walk Now news comes out they save 3M on Ragnow … that it’ll all be turned against them from a narrative standpoint even though these are the exact decisions that if Philadelphia or Los Angeles made them would be viewed as “winning on the margins” and not “falling in love with your own at the expense of the team” ect, ect It’s basically the exact mindset most fans want from the Lions. But again I’m guessing the narrative at the moment is more along the lines of “reckless” and “players won’t want to come here now.”
