@SamanthaRedeemd @EdsPurgatory Not true, she changed the image God gave her. Yes Pray for her
English

@EdsPurgatory All the changes she could possibly make to her body, yet still an image bearer of God. Let's pray for her 🙏

She went from a decent looking woman to looking like a skinny midget Rosie Odonnell in 3 yrs.
Hideous. Imagine what she will look like in another 3 yrs.

🚨Answering the objection “sola scriptura isn't in the Bible”
First of all, Roman Catholics, Orthodox, and Protestants (and others) alike all confess that the scriptural canon is God's inspired and infallible word, even though there may be slight differences in the specific canon list they use.
The most glaring problem to this objection for which it should be rejected immediately is that it presupposes an impossibility. The Bible is not a novel written by one author with knowledge of its beginning and end, rather it is a collection of books over a period of time. While its authors did recognize that what they were writing was divinely inspired (Gal 1:11-12, 2 Pet 3:15-16), they did not have knowledge that what they were writing would eventually be canonized and called “the Bible", so the expectation for them to specifically teach "scripture alone" or "bible alone" is not only absurd, but an impossibility. Those who use this argument haven’t thought through its implications!
Sola scriptura is a principle or recognition, not a doctrine, even though there are passages which can be indirectly used to assert it. In its most basic form is a recognition of where God's inspired revelation resides, and that it alone is the final authority on all matters pertaining to God and the matters of faith.
Sola scriptura is proven by the impossibility of the contrary. There is nothing else comparable to it, and since this is the case, it stands alone. This is why we call it the “holy” bible. Only scripture is referred to as “God breathed” (2 Tim 3:16), as it contains the OT, and doctrine and practice of Christ and his inspired apostles. Scripture is transcendent in its authority, just as Christ himself is transcendent in his authority. There is no inspired revelation of God anywhere else. If there is, let the dissenters name it!
Here are some questions to consider:
1. Why would any person who professes to be a Bible-believing Christian dislike such an idea? What possible motivation would there be to do so?
2. If you use the objection “sola scriptura isn’t in the bible,” do you use this same standard to all the other beliefs which you hold? If not, why not?
English

@rockreborn22 @MrCasey62 The reason we do not Only talk about the bible is our Worship includes the daily reception of the body, blood, soul and divinity of Jesus daily in the eucharist. So we have the Word in bible (and flesh) as well was the holy Eucharist every single day He is there for us
English

@rockreborn22 @MrCasey62 Btw this does not diminish the bible it just puts it into accurate, historical and ecclesiastical perspective
Catholics read and single 4 bible readings, usually pages, every single day in holy mass
English

@rockreborn22 @MrCasey62 You are historically very wrong. the written Word was not available for about 400 years and even then it was the church that chose which writings were inspired and which were not
English

@rockreborn22 @laughinglionl No, that would be the catholic catechism teaching in re timothy 3:15 eg ccc 171 not a private interpretation
English

@laughinglionl So you privately read that passage to make that determination? 🤣
English

@rockreborn22 @MrCasey62 @MrCasey62 i included you for you to see this but ivwas redponding to @rockreborn22
English

@rockreborn22 1. Answer to 1. Jesus left a chuch, not a book with instructions. The word of god is written, is oral , is tradition and all holy spirit guided
2. You have to provide a comparable analogy for you to argue this. It is for you to prove. Not for orhers to disprove. @MrCasey62
English

@rockreborn22 @MrCasey62 Christ commanded us to love God, to serve the poor, to receive the eucharist, to baptize etc—- not suggestions
English

@rockreborn22 @MrCasey62 You should read catholic doctrine. Everything is based on the cross of christ which then leans to grace thru faith and in obedience to God’s commandments which is Love. Each part eg grace, then faith and love is all biblically based. Your way, just a belief, is gravely mislead
English

You have a lot of mistaken ideas about Catholicism (As do most people on X).
The Catholic position is that good works cannot contribute to a man’s salvation before he is united with Christ by faith. Faith is the first step toward salvation, but it does not end there. St. James tells us that faith without works is dead. A man who has faith in Christ is expected to live up to it. Scripture cooperates to demonstrate that faith and a life of charity, cooperating with faith, are necessary if one is to be justified in God‘s sight. “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.” The parable of the talents, the rich young men asking Jesus what must I do to be saved, etc. We are sent on mission or to get to work for the Kingdom. Or put our faith in action.
"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. -Matthew 7:21
TRUE DISCIPLE REQUIRES ACTIVE OBEDIENCE TO GOD'S WILL, NOT JUST VERBAL CONFESSION OF JESUS AS LORD. IT'S NOT JUST TALKING, BUT TALKING AND DOING TO YOUR CAPACITY.
English

@bannedpastor So sad you refuse to read catholic doctrine written by catholics. Everything comes from the cross of Christ even the grace that helps us follow God’s commandments. Hint.. commandments are not suggestions
English

@LizzieMarbach Declaring yourself saved doesn't save you.
English

@LizzieMarbach @DavidLa10606037 You original sin is washed away in baptism and you are now part of the body of Christ but your ongoing sinning without asking for forgiveness separates you from God
English

@LizzieMarbach Because salvation doesn’t happen in the present. It is eschatological—at the final judgment. The notion that one is saved now is a confusion of the revivalism. It conflates a conversion experience (present) with salvation (future).
English

@TheMuppetPastor @LizzieMarbach Yesyou can lose your salvation
1. Hebrews 6:4–6
“For it is impossible, in the case of those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, and have shared in the Holy Spirit… and then have fallen away, to restore them again to repentance…”
English

@LizzieMarbach Eternal life is indeed eternal. The gift is. But one can love sin more and walk away.
Adam and Eve had eternal life yet chose sin over it. We can do the same.
English

@TracyWelborn6 @TheMuppetPastor @LizzieMarbach You are not saved until your judgment by Jesus after your Death. Faith alone does not save you. It never says faith alone in the bible. It actually says “not by faith alone”
English

@TheMuppetPastor @LizzieMarbach The reason you believe that you can lose your salvation is because you believe that you earn it too.
I'm positive of that.
I'm sorry this is where you are, but you are not born again yet.
Spiritual pride is your biggest enemy. It will be your eternal downfall, Skeletor.

@LizzieMarbach You are saved until your judgment by Jesus after your death
