Provocative work by Sugarman Award winner ⁦@johncmessinger⁩ on the outcomes of pts involuntarily committed for SUD in MA. Rates of commitment way up- but 100% relapse. Evaluation of the program and reimagining it (including requiring effective treatment) is needed.
