The Jets are so bad that they’re A) not even going to draft David Bailey and B) won’t trade out of the number 2 pick with a team who does want to draft him because they’re stuck on this fucking Arvell Reese guy.

It'd be insane to fire him right now. I appreciate frustration with the moves but he drafted very well in his first draft and there's so much good to do. None of his veterans add came with any substantial term. The one you could argue was Schenn (who has been good in his role).
Way too easy to hit the panic button, guys. He might continue to frustrate us or he might punk Toronto for Matthews this offseason and turn us into a wagon. We have no idea.

@johnfinn66 @ariel_cornfield Soucy is a UFA at year’s end. He swapped Palat for Tsyplakov and moved out Drouin for Schenn. Palat > Tsyplakov. Schenn > Drouin. Soucy > Boqvist. And all of this w/o mortgaging the future or trading prospects/picks.

#Isles #BornInBridgeport Obviously, there’s a lot more that goes into this, but now is the time to give credit to Mathieu Darche and Rocky Thompson for truly putting their money where their mouth is. A year ago, the last thing you wanted was to be sent to Bridgeport. Now, players on the verge of turning pro (like Eiserman) and even those who could wait and push for an NHL roster spot out of camp next season (like Eklund) are choosing to go Bridgeport. Rocky made it clear this team wouldn’t be a punching bag, and Darche emphasized that improving player development would be a priority. The organization backed that up by bringing in high-level coaching. Rocky has set the tone, while David Cunniff, who has been highly spoken about by the defensemen I’ve talked to, has played a major role in preparing defensemen like Mitchell, Warren, and George to step into the Islanders lineup and make an impact. They also added Chad Kolarik, another strong hire, who has experience working with several Islanders prospects during their time with the NTDP. There isn’t a single player who didn’t improve this season in Bridgeport, everyone took a step forward in their development. And the most impressive part? All of this happened in just one year.

@RTaub_ I’d say Eklund is ahead of Aitcheson, just my opinion. Two completely different players, positions. Both weren’t being dealt but I think Eklund is the better ranked prospect. Here’s how I look at it. If NYI only has 16th pick, they are taking Eklund not Aitcheson.

Aitcheson was a part of every possible deal at the deadline. He was the name that kept being mentioned, so for that to me he’s #1 on the rankings.
People can disagree, but that’s just how I determine it.

@RTaub_ Kash scoring goals on and not being able to defend against 16/17 year olds in the OHL is not better than Eklund playing top 6 minutes in the best mens league outside of NA for 2 and a half seasons. I do respect the Gamzin love though
