@StrengthDebates Learn to paint corners at 90 mph and lose the obsession with three-digit heaters

@spikesonly Think of this as a new way to apply specificity without over complication. Focus on physics rather than unnecessary technical minutiae
English

@spikesonly I think not. Step pattern and distance are coachable strategies on the track. You don’t have to run that same way when running with resistance (generally). It’s about increasing capacity to apply impulse, which transfers to performance when refining on track strategies

Resisted Sprinting will age like a wine cooler. Bartels and James or Zima with the body speed calculations?

@spikesonly Ultimately, I think the goal of resisted training has been over complicated
English

@spikesonly I don’t want to minimize value of load & overvalue speed of the exercise. I want to value motion created
Ex: a slower run with heavy load and a faster run with lighter load can have the momenta, but the faster run will have higher KE because the squared velocity.

@firecashman @mrdougellin I’d rather watch Walsh’s Medellin
English

@mrdougellin Id rather watch the 4 hour Walsh cut of Queens Blvd

Looks kind of good, but could not be more bored by this. Lasted about 80 seconds. If this is the future, reality tv will be mine.
The Dor Brothers@thedorbrothers
We made a $300,000,000 movie starring @LoganPaul with AI in less than 7 days. Yes, this is 100% AI.

@spikesonly Aaaaaaaaaannnnnddddd it will be in legit T&F sprinters and hurdlers
English

@spikesonly We will be exploring Momentum-based load selection and load-specific run distances to maximize the stimulus and minimize wasted work
English

@johnharry76 Can you give us a direction or is this a teaser ?

More fun exploring elite pitching kinematics in the @TTU_Biomech and @TTU_Baseball pitching lab!

@johnharry76 @StrengthDebates See, this why having conversations like this is annoying. You don’t know what the fuck you’re talking about. MVC can be tested both isometrically or dynamically. The statistic I gave you is from a dynamic test of high level baseball pitchers. How much did Randy Johnson bench?
English

@manback732633 @StrengthDebates The whole point was about pec contributing (assisting). That demonstrates the value of it being strong, especially given this int rotation is some of the fastest motions produced by the human body. Lastly, MVC is a static test which can’t be used to define max dynamic potential
English

@johnharry76 @StrengthDebates That literally just tells you the pectoralis is an assistant in internal rotation lol. It activates at roughly 54% MVC while the overall complex reaches 185% muscle test strength. Meaning the pectoralis isn’t fully engaged. It assists.
English

@johnharry76 @StrengthDebates The pec is a very minor contributor to international rotation.
