HOW 'BOUT THEM 'CATS

@Top100Rick Filled in last-minute on a group trip to the west of Ireland 10 years ago. Played 3 1/2 of five planned courses. Good days at Dooks, Tralee and Killarney. Played a miserable front nine at aptly named Waterville and gave up. Squall at Old Head kept us inside the clubhouse, alas.

You spend $10,000 on your one time bucket list trip to Ireland. You get to Ballybunion and this is the weather. Do you play? I would! Would it be silly and stupid? Yep. But it’s a great memory with friends and the stupid days are a part of life and often the most remembered. Do not be scared of a links golf trip based on the crazy weather videos. Yes the bad days can be insane, but there are way more good days! If you have never been, get to Ireland or Scotland. It’s the best.
