Just closed on a property and a tenant brought a bunch of repair issues to my attention that they said the old owner about I’m kicking myself for not interviewing every single tenant as part of DD and asking if there are any unresolved maintenance requests 🤦‍♂️ Do you do this?

Just because you get a distribution based on a carried interest does not mean there was a capital gain

@Skeptical_John_ But only if you've had the small biz cash flows for the last 2 years...vs someone who only has an acceptance letter from an employer. Seems like those aren't quite apples to apples

How come lenders think W2 income is safer than someone who is self employed? Your boss can wake up one day and decide to fire you on a whim...seems pretty risky to me
