#Hoboken Day686: So far 2 blocks of Grand Street redesign 108 plastic bollards installed. @ this pace, could see close to 500, costing around $50k based on older contracts. It’s a noticeable change for a street w/less parking & a tighter driving lane. What are your thoughts?

This is pure political pandering. And Path would still be much cheaper and, for most people, more convenient, few people will switch

I don’t use the ferry, but it’s good for all property taxes go to pay for all of society that lives here

Going to & from NYC by ferry should be quick, convenient & affordable. The PATH shutdown proved it: with $5 fares, more Hoboken residents choose the ferry. I’m fighting for permanent $5 ferries to give our city a better, cheaper commute.

According to the New Jersey Department of Human Resources, the reconciliation bill passed by the U.S. House of Representatives would reduce federal funding for New Jersey’s Medicaid program by $3.6 billion, or nearly one-quarter of the $14.9 billion the state expected to get from Washington, D.C. — for the fiscal year that begins July 1. New Jersey spends about $24 billion in total on Medicaid annually.
