@GavinNewsom Republicans have the majority in the House and Senate but they don’t control it because it takes 60 votes in the Senate to pass a bill. The House has already approved the funding bill. It’s the democrats in the Senate who have shut the govt down and refuse to fund the govt.

@Strandjunker You obviously don’t understand the concept. ICE is funded thru 2029. They will help by giving directions, watching exits, and line coordination freeing TSA to run the scanners and get the people thru security. Maybe wait to see if it works before complaining.

So let me get this straight: We can’t find the budget to pay our actual TSA agents, but we’ve got plenty of cash to bus in ICE agents with zero experience to do their jobs? Efficiency at its finest. What a slap in the face to the people who actually know what they’re doing.

@adowningsr @MarshaBlackburn Real ID is what we all have as required by the states for the past several years. It has a star on it and can be used for boarding flights. The SAVE Act isn’t requiring us to get a separate Real ID for voting. It’s the DL you currently hold.

@MarshaBlackburn elections are handled by the states per our constitution. Yes, show a state issued ID, prove you live in the district you are voting in. Vote in person and eliminate mail in voting except for the military, the disabled and those traveling for work etc. No to real ID.

@cspanspins @MarshaBlackburn Registered voters need do nothing at all. Their voter registration is intact and will not change. When one moves to another address or changes their marital status it is then that the documents will be required.

@MarshaBlackburn Under the SAVE ACT all 210 million Registered voters will be required to re-register with a birth certificate. Voting by mail will no longer exist. Every state will have to send their voter registration list to Washington, and who knows who Trump will purge from the list.
