@xevekiah You shouldn't feel guilty for wanting to keep it and it probably makes no financial sense selling it anyway. You can build something new together and keep it. It doesn't have to be one thing or the other.

I’m engaged, and my fiancé recently found out I own a small apartment that my parents helped me buy years ago. It’s in my name, fully paid off. I’ve always seen it as my safety net. Now he’s asking me to sell it after we get married so we can “invest together” and put everything into a house under both our names. He says keeping it means I’m planning for a future without him. But I don’t see it that way. I see it as something I built before him, something that protects me no matter what happens. And now I feel guilty for wanting to keep it.

I went on a date. Everything was going fine until the guy got a dessert sent over, there was compliments of some girl at the next table. We looked at her, she looked at us. And here's the thing, I can objectively see that she's prettier than me, skinnier, brown, you know, with those trendy lashes and lips. And the guy asks me, what should he do? Like, what was I supposed to say? I told him, it's our first date and if you like that girl, go introduce yourself. So he went and I got up and left. And I just felt so shitty inside. I went to a park, swung on those swings on the playground like some psycho loner. And you know what? He calls me half an hour later like “where are you?” Meaning he was talking to her that whole half hour and didn't even notice I was gone. I'm gonna eat some ice cream now, maybe cry, fck it, I'm done going on dates.
