@KeithHavers My son used to do things like that. Sometimes in Sharphill Wood before it was built on, he and a mate would take a shovel from Anchor ex military supplies, and create hills and ramps. Never tried one, and I was 25 years younger 😂

Stopped off to take a drink at the local park today. #cycling A young lad had set up a makeshift ramp to try his tricks out. A bit cheeky but doing no harm. I declined his invitation to 'have a go'. I'm 74 and already had 46 miles on the clock. Doubt if I could have got airborne.

What is the obsession in the UK with blaming cyclists for illegal motorcyclists killing people? Why have journalists lost the ability to distinguish between off road motorbikes, mopeds, and pedal bicycles? Is it a lack of education? Or just deliberate rage-baiting?

@Transport_Nottm Great stuff. Are these adaptive signals at pelican crossings as well? And are they the sort which automatically sense when a cyclist approaches? It makes a BIG difference to me if I don’t have to get off my trike to press the button. * apologies if I have mis understood

Of course as I am signed up to @seesense_cc data sharing programme, presumably they could tell me where a rear light has been static while the paired front light has moved away? In NG1 or NG2. What do you reckon?

At £120 the replacement icon3 light is a bit expensive. But their new smaller lights, the Agile range are “only” £50 and look interesting.

Disaster: when I got home yesterday I noticed that one of @seesense_cc lights was missing. One of the back lights (I have two, one on each wheel). I don’t know if it had fallen off due to poor attachment after the last recharging, or whether someone nicked it when it was in town

As we enter the final stretch of our Transforming Cities funded walking and cycling bridge project, a new crane (large but a baby in comparison with the monster one that lifted the bridge into place last autumn!) is on site, lifting ramps into place on the south side. 🌉
