My dude The Odyssey is an ancient myth. There are monsters and shit throughout. It is not a “historical film.” Also as far as we know Homer wasn’t stopping every other line to specify what races the characters were.

The fight started and was stopped due to injury that did not result from an illegal strike, so a no contest is off the table. Even if it was rendered a no contest (it won’t be), bets would not be retroactively voided as the in-cage result was a TKO loss.

Damage is (mostly) invisible. I agree with the first half of this from Samsara, damage is the most important part of the scoring criteria but it is impossible to rate. Broken ribs vs a small cut, one is visible one is not, how do you score what you can't see? Topuria lands

@amerisreali @joannadangerfd Damage is invisible to us. If you define damage dealt by how bloody an opponent's face gets, you are fucking stupid. If that is your metric, the Diaz brothers lost every fight 50-42. It is objective fact that an overhand right does more damage than a jab.

@joannadangerfd Isn't this why there are multiple scoring criteria and levels of importance? Individually, each is imperfect and often subjective but, added up they should give a relatively accurate picture of success. IIRC, damage is used to gauge effective striking, not a sole criterion.
