You’re assuming Jesus commanded Christians to attend an institutional “church service” in order to remember Him. He didn’t. The church is the body of believers, not a building, pulpit, payroll, or religious corporation. Paul said, “as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he come” — 1 Corinthians 11:26. That can be done by believers gathered in a home, examining themselves before the Lord, breaking bread, and remembering His sacrifice. Acts 2 says they broke bread from house to house. So the real question is not, “How do you obey Christ without going to church?” The real question is, why do you think Christ’s command requires your box-church system?

@johnxbt_ No, those are all Noahic priest-kings gathered before God on earth, of whom Job was one. 38:7 describes the re-creation of the world after the flood.

@johnxbt_ @JCRyle This guy gets it. I'm not even a Christian and I got that. The whole idea preached seemed to be it's the body of the believers, through fellowship and community that make up the church, holding God inside all. It always has just seemed a blueprint to maintaining society to me.
