Super bullish on $RETAIL by @retaildao.
It's a small unknown project but it really captures the collective power of retail investors.
The thesis is that retail investors, when we work together, can be more successful/powerful than when we go it alone.
In Retail DAO we do things like weekly missions, on-chain governance, and other stuff to level up together.
We're NOT an alpha group or signals group.
There's no guru in there spoon-feeding people.
Also Jesse, I think you'd be impressed at how active we are even during this bear period!

Crypto crashes → everyone hides in stablecoins.
But here’s the problem: Most stables are idle capital.
No yield. No efficiency. Just sitting there.
I just made a video on @usddio, a revamped stablecoin that’s already crossed $1B in TVL and is trying to fix exactly that.
Worth checking out if you care about capital efficiency.

We just wrapped a mission where our members farmed 30+ rumored 2026 airdrops.
After comparing notes, screenshots, and mistakes… this is how we ended up mapping them.
This chart isn’t about which is the “best airdrop.” It’s about the friction vs signal of those airdrops.
Friction = how much time/money/effort is required
Signal = how likely your behavior is to be rewarded
The big takeaway = more effort doesn’t automatically mean more upside.
Some things are boring, low-friction, and quietly high signal.
Others feel advanced and painful… but barely move the needle.

Polkadot's changes (shift to product, closing bounties, cancelling decentralized nodes and voices program) these past couple of months were unexpected (at least to me), but this radical change is bold and what the ecosystem needs. We cannot expect to do the same thing over and over again and see different results. While I don't love the uncertainty, I am cautiously optimistic and curious to see what 2026 will bring.

Today we are announcing we won't run another cohort of Decentralized Voices.
Over its cohorts; DV became a collective-action hack: lowering the coordination barrier for serious participation, creating a focal point where scrutiny and norms could actually form & building countervailing power in #OpenGov by making rationale visible and reputationally consequential.
In that sense, DV aimed at robustness, not necessarily popularity: strengthening governance through clearer assumptions, surfaced disagreements & tighter feedback loops.
Cohort 5 will be the last one for now and it is not a verdict on the people (you were the point). It’s a capacity shift as we enter a new phase and priorities reallocate.
To everyone who participated in the program across all cohorts; thank you so much.. we are proud of you and grateful for all your contributions 🤍

Marketing needs a product, but more importantly, it’s the product that defines the marketing
If marketing has to lie, stretch, or obscure to work, the problem is not marketing. The problem is the product is not ready to be marketed..
@Polkadot is a good example.
For years, the product wasn’t apps
The product was shared security, interoperability, and sovereign blockspace.
The mistake was marketing abstractions without grounding them in lived experience. And unfortunately, truly speaking, marketing without a product is just noise. At best it is storytelling. At worst it is fraud.
When marketing outpaces product or its maturity, you get overpromising, under-delivering, short-term hype cycles and eventually long-term reputation damage.
And once users feel misled, trust does not come back easily. No amount of better messaging fixes this.
The takeaway is brutal but honest.
Marketing does not rescue unfinished products. It just accelerates their failure.
Polkadot’s early mistake was not weak tech, but premature storytelling. The value was real, but too abstract to be felt.
The fix is not better messaging.
It is lived experience, working products, and undeniable usage. When users feel the value, marketing stops being persuasion and starts being distribution.
Build the thing. Ship products.
Let people touch it.
Then talk about it.
Anything else is just noise.
