@there_is_no_if In retrospect, it was (somewhat) front ride height sensitive. As Lewis wore the fronts it started to hook up. When George put new tires on, the front went away. As the fuel burned down, it starts to come back.

Lewis: "is the car broken?" Engineer: "just under balanced" 1.2s off front runners 😭

What do you think to Lando's 10 second stop & go penalty?

@TommoMcCluskey Democratic RED button in every car. Driver presses it if they feel a lap has a red flag feel about it . Got to press it each lap is red worthy. If a majority of drivers or some quorum have it pressed on the same lap / instance, RED FLAG. And obviously, VSC gaps + rolling restart.

There is no truly "fair" way of going about it unfortunately. When a red flag drops, there will always be advantage given to some and taken from others. Same goes with a safety car, or even a VSC. Restarting on cold old tyres can be very sketchy, plus what if you run through debris of the incident that brought out the SC? This isn't a new talking point. Only thing I can think of is that a tyre change under a red flag should NOT count towards your 1 mandatory pit stop. That'd prevent the snooze fest we got in Monaco. But, can that just throw the unfairness too far in the other direction? Maybe. 🤷
