I’m so excited to share this… @triplejHack and @RadioNational’s science crew have teamed up on a podcast! It’s called Who’s Gonna Save Us and it’s about climate change, but not in the way you think. It’s about solutions and the people fighting for them. open.spotify.com/episode/10lHIt…

Big story from ABC's @jcobevans. Senator Canavan says the Coalition is latching onto nuclear ..."as a silver bullet, as a panacea because it fixes a political issue for us, that it's low-emission and it's reliable. But it ain't the cheapest form of power." abc.net.au/news/2024-12-2…

China is relying primarily on domestically produced resources for energy security—not #LNG imports. Claims about the necessity of LNG as a "bridge fuel" from #coal to #renewables should be approached with skepticism. More in our new fact sheet: hubs.li/Q02Dv8ry0

Great ABC article explaining why EVs are so much lower emissions than petrol vehicles …even when EVs are built with fossil energy and powered by fossil electricity. abc.net.au/news/2024-05-2…

More gas is used to convert gas to LNG than is used by Australia's entire manufacturing industry or by all Australian households Don't come to me with cries that we have a gas shortage

@LadyJenPool The post goes into more detail with sources but it's all the major publishing houses themselves who gave this info in a court case.

No one Buys Books. Out of 58,000 books published in one year "90 percent of them sold fewer than 2,000 copies and 50 percent sold less than a dozen copies." Book publishing is essentially venture capitalism. elysian.press/p/no-one-buys-…

A federal court judge has allowed Santos to subpoena paperwork held by three activist groups who were not directly involved in a lawsuit against the oil company. From me and @_LisaMCox in The Guardian: theguardian.com/law/2024/apr/2…

I spent 18 months visiting disaster zones, hanging out with hell raisers and learning about the Australian oil and gas industry. Now I can finally share the cover of my latest book -- it's looking pretty... slick. It's out 1 August -- find more here: slickthebook.com.au

Came across this incredible statistic while doing research for an article about Perth. The average summer maximum temperature at Perth Airport has increased by ~3ºC since 1910. That's more than double the national warming trend!
