The forum brought together professional bodies, including the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK), Institute of Certified Secretaries (ICS) and the Law Society of Kenya (LSK). The event brought together regulators, legal practitioners @LawSocietyofKe, accountants @ICPAK_Kenya, bankers @KenyaBankers , corporate secretaries @ICS_Kenya, and other stakeholders to deliberate on the progress, regulatory updates, and upcoming compliance requirements for Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI). Representatives of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK), the Institute of Certified Secretaries (ICS), and the Law Society of Kenya (LSK) emphasized the importance of collaboration and compliance in enhancing transparency and accountability within Kenya’s corporate ecosystem. Ms. Damaris Lukwo, Registrar of Companies, also reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to enhancing corporate transparency and combating illicit financial activities through the effective implementation of Beneficial Ownership regulations. Also in attendance was Ms. Gal Levine, Countering Illicit Finance Advisor, Kenya, representing UK International Development.
