Is there any chance that someone out there in #classics or #papyri has scanned Law of Greco-Roman Egypt in the light of the papyri by Raphael Taubenschlag. It's 1944, but in the US wasn't renewed so it's actually in the public domain.

@jonathan_robie @fgeorges @ndw @barefootliam @btusdin @dalapeyre It was years ago (2012?), but the advice that I got was to code like it was 2005. I'm not sure if we're still stuck in 2005, but I'm not sure we've advanced to 2013 either.

You can find standard formats at some places in the publishing processes, but above all you'll find custom formats. Or at least custom ways of using and adapting and connecting existing formats.

@jonathan_robie @ndw @barefootliam @simonstl @btusdin @dalapeyre I can confirm what Norm said. My company (XML Press) uses DocBook almost exclusively on the back end, but we end up converting most books from another format—usually Microsoft Word.
