Something I don’t talk about much — I work with a small group of players, both in Houston and remotely, and honestly it’s one of the more rewarding parts of the game for me.
I’ve been in pro ball for a while now, and I’m still playing, still grinding, still learning. That part matters to me because it means I’m coaching from a place of relatability. I’m in it right now alongside these guys.
The players I work with aren’t just looking for someone to fix their mechanics. They’re bought in. They want to develop, they want to be pushed, and they actually care about the process. That makes it easy to show up for them.
And my approach isn’t just about performance. Workload management and health are non-negotiable for me — I’ve lived through what happens when those things get ignored.
Developing the person matters as much as developing the player. The mental side, the habits, the self-awareness. That stuff compounds.
I only take on a handful of guys at a time so I can actually be accessible and make an impact with each guy.
Have a couple spots open right now, and the investment is more affordable than anything comparable out there.
If that resonates, shoot me a DM. @BluebookBeede

@DaikinPark Admin needs to learn the game. This is NOT an inside the park homerun. This is called a triple with a 1-base error . . . 👀

Incredible. Bobsledder Elana Meyers Taylor just became the oldest Olympic gold medalist in history at 41.
She is a mother of 2 deaf babies, 1 having Down syndrome.
Instead of boasting about her medals, she publicly gave glory to God.
“God put me here for a specific reason, and I don’t think it’s just to win medals. At the end of the day, I’m in this sport to glorify God, so if that means I come in last place, or I win the gold medal, that’s what I’m going to do.”

@JustinEGiboney His post is awful, but the follow up post - with a backhand slap at your actual sister in Christ - probably isn’t the right response either . . .

Would saying this is racist be an example of toxic empathy?

How will MAGA Christians justify this one? Has he gone too far yet?

This woman woke up at 4 AM in 20° cold, worked out for two hours, faced a packed college Monday… and her first thought?
“I woke up this morning. I’m healthy. I get to move my body. I get to learn. And above all—Jesus loves me. Not because of anything I’ve done. Just because I’m His.”
No complaints. Just tears of gratitude.
A beautiful reminder: The greatest privilege isn’t the workout, the degree, or the sunrise—it’s waking up known and loved by our Creator.
If you’re breathing today, you’re already blessed beyond measure.
Don’t let the noise steal your thankfulness.
He loves you more than you’ll ever grasp.

Op-ed: This man tried to disprove God with a box of nails. It went terribly wrong.

@JCGroves I have been on staff at 2 of our 6 campuses in last 21 years.
All of what you said in the back half of the OP is true at each of them.
English

@JCGroves It *can* show up in every model. But it can also show up in single-site churches as well. You’re forgetting that the culture is set my the leader. It’s not baked into some structural setup.
English

@JCGroves I don’t disagree with all of what you said, but you saw how *one brand of sausage* was made. Not all multi-site churches are the same. Ours aren’t brand-expanding video venues. 🤷🏻♂️

Major DIFFERENCES between Jesus of the Bible (Christianity) & the Jesus of Mormonism (LDS).
THEY ARE NOT THE SAME:
1. Nature of Jesus
(Bible)
- Jesus is eternally God.
- He was never created.
- One in essence with the Father
(Trinity). In the beginning was
the Word… and the Word was
God.
(Mormonism)
- Jesus is a created being.
- He is the first spirit child of
Heavenly Father.
- He is divine, but not eternally
God in the same sense as the
Father. God the Father was once
a man who progressed to
godhood.
2. Relationship to God the Father
(Bible)
- Father, Son, & Holy Spirit are one
God (Trinity).
- Same essence, distinct persons.
I and the Father are one (Jn 10:30)
(Mormonism)
- Father, Son, & Holy Ghost are
three separate gods.
- United in purpose, not in essence.
3. Jesus and Lucifer
(Bible)
- Jesus is Creator.
- Satan (Lucifer) is a fallen angel,
created by God.
- Jesus & Satan are not brothers.
(Mormonism)
- Jesus & Lucifer are spirit brothers.
- Both were spirit children of
Heavenly Father.
- Jesus was chosen as Savior;
Lucifer rebelled.
4. Virgin Birth
(Bible)
- Jesus was conceived
miraculously by the Holy Spirit.
- God did not engage in physical
relations with Mary.
- The Holy Spirit will come upon
you (Luke 1:35).
(Mormonism)
- Official LDS statements have
varied, but historically some
leaders taught Jesus was
conceived through literal
physical parentage by Heavenly
Father. Modern LDS teaching is
often ambiguous on details.
5. How Salvation Is Accomplished
(Bible)
- Jesus’ death on the cross fully
paid for sin.
- Salvation is a free gift.
- Salvation is by grace alone
through faith alone. “It is finished.”
- Good works are a result of
salvation, not a requirement. By
grace you have been saved… not
by works.” (Ephesians 2:8–9)
(Mormonism)
- Grace is given after “all we can
do”.
- Salvation involves obedience to
LDS ordinances.
- Multiple levels of salvation
(degrees of glory).
- Full exaltation requires:
+ LDS baptism
+ Temple ordinances
+ Obedience to church laws
+ Faith + works + ordinances.
6. Jesus’ After Resurrection
(Bible)
- Jesus reigns eternally as the one
true God.
- Believers worship Him forever.
- Humans never become gods.
(Mormonism)
- Jesus is a God among many gods.
- Faithful humans can become
gods like Him.
7. God’s Uniqueness
(Bible)
- There is only one God.
- No humans ever become gods.
“Before Me no god was formed,
nor shall there be after Me.” (Is
43:10)
(Mormonism)
- Many gods exist.
- God the Father was once a man.
- Humans can become gods.
AGAIN… THEY ARE NOT THE SAME!

It’s no accident that as Linus recites scripture & says, “Fear not…”, he drops his security blanket. He always had his blanket. Powerful.
Charles Schwartz knew then. “If we don’t do it, who will?”
We are still faced with that same question every day, even more so now than ever.
There was nothing like a quiet evening with the family and sitting down to watch A Charlie Brown Christmas. There still isn’t. ❤️
