@jasonkovacs I agree...there's definitely been a swing in the sentiments I've seen re: adoption. Perhaps in some ways it was an over-correction to the more traditional language surrounding adoption.

As someone who has played a leadership role in the evangelical adoption and fostercare movement and is trauma-informed this broke my heart. The church ought to offer the greatest word of hope and greatest level of support to the adoptee.
