@alojohhardcore Are you able to explain why this trim level and allocation? My greedy side is telling me there's more room ahead of earnings. My prudent side is saying that even if I miss the upside, there's the likely possibility of reentry at today's prices or lower in the future

@alojohhardcore @fpspqr The ultimate value here is in your replies. SPCT is helpful to provide some self help assurance but what is even more obvious this week is that it's still just a tool at the end of the day and you have to apply proper intellect to know how/when to use it for even more alpha

@jonathanmui @alojohhardcore Yes but when I is the question. AJ was saying something about timing But probably will just shift to bonds strong the SX IPO and the inclusion in the indexes

Fair point, but you mentioned that the SX inclusion in the indexes will be impacting the ETF holders, something like the fund holders will be paying/funding the SX investors. As long as you can provide your thoughts on the ETF, that’s enough to figure out the impact on the 401ks.

@colorfullllove @alojoh Budget for several months. If you don't make your money back then it's not fit you. Most make their money back in the first month

Sounds like I need to bite the bullet. At worst, I’ll drop out again. Interpreting the lingo and deriving actions from it is the hardest part. Example: “buying in gradually” into a short without knowing a suitable transfer function of price level vs percentage of intended total position size is tricky.

AJ Investment Research
This channel just crossed 3,800 paying subscribers. A few observations stand out: 1) Since launching the HC channel on March 16, we have meaningfully reduced research coverage on this channel. Despite that, subscriber retention has remained exceptionally strong. In fact, the subscriber count has continued to edge higher. 2) At the same time, the HC channel has been growing at an explosive pace. That is an important signal. Serious investors are actively choosing deeper, more focused research, even when that work is no longer broadly distributed for free on X. 3) Together, these trends validate both the value we delivered before the HC launch and the quality of the research we continue to provide across our channels today. 4) Follower growth has behaved exactly as expected. Once we reduced the amount of research shared publicly on X to almost zero, new follower growth effectively stalled and has remained flat since the HC launch. 5) The broader takeaway is clear: X does not meaningfully support the discovery of high quality investment research once that research moves behind a paywall. Public visibility drives follower growth, but subscriber growth reflects something more important: investors who already understand the value of the work and are willing to pay for it.

Knowing that, why not enter a little later into this quarter? I know you called out this risk on your recent initial entry. My takeaway from that was to come in a little later, probably at a better price since the HFT have moved their money elsewhere for the time being. I believe my approach risks upside on some out of cycle news but sounds like you also believe the positive news cycle for meta is weak intra quarter

So far it's ad hoc and he only specifies for specific names at a time. It's great when he does it but I believe the overhead is too high especially since it's almost all programmatically traded. So I wouldn't necessarily count on consist updates on this topic since it's a lower level priority

New member of the HC channel here, sorry if this question was answered before: AJ, my understanding is that here you give more details about your allocations: are these collected or displayed anywhere for us to see and track changes? Or do we have to keep an eye on this kind of replies where you drop the gems :)

If most of the market believes that it's at 23x, then it seems as good as actually being at 23x in terms of their resulting behavior (ie. They derisk). Does it ever make sense to trade along with the market even knowing that they're wrong to further maximize alpha (ie. Derisk then front run the buy back?)

@alojohhardcore I'm curious how you determined those layers. Is it based on SPCT? Trying to learn how to size levels and where to layer

@alojohhardcore I have a guess what you mean by the human advantage. Algos need to constantly be making money so they are always moving capital around. That limits *when* they can begin front running on NVDA.

@alojohhardcore @FitOver50sGuy @UberDB It also reads to be like reverse-FUD. Similar to FUD news, this doesn't seem like a needle mover. It's just something to get hyped about and an excuse for the stock to keep going.
