Young biologists should work on plants. 🌱 1. SynBio tools are ~10 yrs behind bacteria 2. Basic science has lagged. Often, we don't know what to edit to improve traits 3. Pesticide use is flat & 40% of crops lost to pests 5. Design flowers. Lots of room to make a big impact!

@algekalipso have you read this book yet? TL;DR meta-cognition about pain can reduce pain. reading this book, you can't help but think about how you think about pain => your chronic pain in that moment gets attenuated => you notice thoughts can attenuate pain => virtuous cycle of less pain

CBD, mindfulness, and equanimity are all great. But they won't take care of the chronic pain issues that only opioids are suited for. You have to come to a point of understanding where you *give up hope* on weaksouce Overtone-preserving stuff like CBD and embrace DMT and iboga.
