Nick Launches is live. 🔥
A new home for indie products. Submit yours, discover what others are shipping, and get in front of thousands of builders looking for their next favorite tool.
First official launch day is tomorrow - May 4th. The front page is wide open right now, so early submissions get the most eyes (and a permanent backlink that sticks around).
> Submit your product in under a minute. AI prefills the form from your URL, so you just paste, review, and ship.
> Get discovered by builders, makers, and early adopters.
> Permanent dofollow backlink to your site. Real SEO boost.
If you've been sitting on something, this is your moment. Don't just build, get found.

@nicklaunches Thanks man! The GitHub OAuth gave me a 404 btw, so I signed up with X instead and that worked just fine.
English

@joncphillips Pls do! I will send you 100% promo code
English

@tonysimons_ hah yeah, I'm baking this into SEO Dash. I'd rather know the truth and facts than keep guessing!
English

@joncphillips This is exactly why I added a rule to my Hermes Agent to make it push back aggressively, but not for sportsmanship. He MUST provide facts and evidence to back up his claims.
He's usually far more on point than I am. 🙃
English

haha well I was convinced one of my top articles on DailyPhotoTips was ranking on page 1 for the main keyword. Like I would've bet money on it (I remember seeing it when I searched Google myself just a few days before). The agent told me it was sitting on page 2. Checked manually and yeah, it was right 🤷♂️
English

@joncphillips Haha. What did you argue with him about
English

@joncphillips @stripe This is the future after all... Also I'm wondering why you chose stripe for SEO dash. Why not a MOR like polar.sh?
English

It's becoming clear that every product out there needs an MCP server and a solid API, and probably also an AI agent.
I didn't even login to @stripe to create the products, Claude Code just created them for me in my account (3 products, monthly and annual prices).
I didn't even leave the terminal. It was wonderful.

I've been going through every error message in SEO Dash this week in preparation for the launch, and honestly? Most of them are garbage 😬 Stuff like "could not fetch data" or "request failed." Totally useless.
So I'm rewriting all of them. If your Ahrefs API key is wrong, the app tells you and links you to the settings page to fix it. If a crawl fails, it tells you why.
I find it's one of the most tedious parts of UX and nobody will ever tweet about this stuff but it's the difference between a user fixing the problem themselves with some guidance, and a user closing the tab or opening a support ticket. This stuff matters.
English

@leodev haha yeah, or like all table-based layouts (I've built a few of those in the early days)
English

Ok but hear me out, what if GitHub was Craigslist themed? 👀

OrcDev@orcdev
ok hear me out github but it's warcraft themed
English

@joncphillips This would be my dream github:
x.com/leodev/status/…
Leo@leodev
What if Apple made Github?
English

@AtSynct Totally, it's crazy to think that it did so well for all those years (and still does pretty good even today, though it's declining fast)
English

@joncphillips I mean ... it served its function ... barely. The UI was terrible for finding what you needed.
English

@Soroosh_Tajdar I dream of the day GitHub designers will just get this up for a day, like on April fools or something. That would be sick.
cc @github pretty please guys? You got 11 months until the next April fools 🙏
English

@joncphillips the Craigslist one is genuinely better for open source. chaotic, no-frills, "free to a good home" energy is peak OSS culture.
