QB>WR in a vaccum is the correct statement The Colts situation is not the average one though Piece is the most important player on the offense in order for Jones to be a successful QB in Indy Losing him makes Jones not a viable QB option in this offense That's my opinion

Colts add more youth and speed to their DL with Colby Wooden. A bit undersized (273 pounds) so he probably translates a bit more in the Colts' 5-man base defense fronts. Probably a Neville Gallimore replacement on a cheaper contract

@ZachHicks2 He reportedly played at 300 lbs last year. 273 was his weight when he was drafted, and they never updated the official page. The Packers asked him to play NT last year. Not a lot of pass rush upside.

@TheDestinAdams A little quick to judge. I seem to recall a lot of complaints about Ballard bringing in Jones last year during Free Agency only to see apologies after going 7-1. I love AP, but I don't see $28M for 47 receptions. I don't see $48M for Jones post injury. Let it play out first.

The Colts have made countless inexcusable errors in the offseason over the last decade. Playing hardball with Jones and tagging him over getting a long-term deal done, and in turn letting Alec Pierce hit free agency instead of tagging him, is the newest chapter.

Alec Pierce is now more likely to test the open market than re-sign with the Colts before free agency, per @RapSheet. Pierce is viewed as one of the NFL’s top free agents who will earn a monster payday. Indianapolis may have just lost their best wideout.
