+1 to this. People who have deeper technical skills benefit the most when using AI tools. They can prompt agents with more detail and specific instructions that non technical users tend to overlook. While syntax might not be barrier in the future, you still need to understand and design systems that agents will build.

Not knowing how to code giving you an advantage is absolute nonsense. The more you understand, the better your prompts, the better the feedback you give, the better product you ship. What will change is that the intricacies of syntax, compilers, module systems, the finer details of type systems, won’t matter as much to everyone. But you should absolutely understand how the pieces fit together. From syscall to pixels. Learn how data flows, because you’ll be able to secure your systems. Learn about performance, because you’ll be able to push your agent further. Learn about APIs, because they determine how to integrate systems. Learn about how systems fail, because you’ll be able to make reliable programs.

This is great developer marketing. The product is pretty simple and obvious (run agents in the cloud, not your laptop), but the visualizations are exceptional. The infrastructure primitives section is concrete and honest (sandboxed envs, governance, triggers, fleet coordination). The "false summit" is catchy, and describes a real problem. The fact that individual productivity does not necessarily translate into organizational velocity -- can in fact impede organizational velocity -- is real and under-addressed. And it's just so darn pretty. 😍 Just know that if you visit this site in a non-anon browser, you are entering the Ona sales funnel. background-agents.com

11 years ago I co-organized one of the biggest hackathons in Europe at that time (@_aghacks ~530 devs IRL, 3 day event), which was a part of @MLHacks hackathon series in Europe. This was pretty much the beginning but also a breakthrough moment for my career that heavily impacted where I am and wanted to be today. Exactly 11 years ago when I started contributing and fostering different developer ecosystems in Europe (with MLH, GitHub, AngelHack) I also started writing about developer related topics and used @ThePracticalDev for that. Build relationships, write what you're passionate about. You never know when science of creating opportunities will start working.
