@Joblogs663 @fesshole It just means she wanted the man to share the bed with her. Saying she cold was just a ruse but this was completely lost on him. Women are complicated creatures to fathom. Still pisses me off to this day, she was well fit.

A lovely woman came round to my studio flat and we were talking so long her last train had gone so I agreed she could crash at mine and gave her the bed. Despite it being summer she complained she was cold. So I got her a blanket. Only realised weeks later.

For those wondering what it looks like when the strongest military in the history of the world decides to target another supposed regional power and manages to gain aerial supremacy and decapitate their military leadership in a matter of hours.

@MrPitbull07 $40 is insulting. Keep your money next time. But you already know this $100 minimum. $120 is about right You shouldn’t go out to eat anymore. Just go to the grocery and cook at home.

We went to a dinner as a group and had a $500 bill. We tipped $40. We were happy we can be able to give our server something, but her reaction was the opposite. She told us she assumed we're going to give her at least $120. When we asked for the manager, she said she was just joking, but she wasn't smiling at all. Idk, but is $40 tip enough for $500 bill? I just feel like expecting $120 is not realistic. ~Lea Robertson

@Grunt2A @smokyhonky84 @MatrixMysteries While the US employee pays less to the government in income tax, the required payment for health insurance premiums—plus the risk of high out-of-pocket hospital deductibles—usually results in a lower net income and higher total expenses than the UK worker.

Yes that is how all insurance works. But you said that was "free" It isn't free. The hospital and the doctors all get paid. That money comes from somewhere. It comes from your absurdly high taxes. You pay for the "free" insurance. Here in the US we also pay for the insurance but we pay the insurance company directly instead of paying through our taxes. Ultimately the end user pays for it in both countries. Your way adds a layer of government between you and the actual healthcare though.

An American goes to the ER for high blood pressure. He’s there less than TWO hours. No surgery. No scans. The bill comes back at $41,297 — even AFTER he’s paid his FULL out-of-pocket max. This isn’t healthcare — it’s legalized extortion.

@Grunt2A @smokyhonky84 @MatrixMysteries So again, read what I said, a tax is taken, This is what governments do. What I'm saying if from the point of entry it is free, no additional charges, no insurance claims, The Hospital doesnt have to worry. Someone with zero money on then will get treated.

@Grunt2A @smokyhonky84 @MatrixMysteries This is not difficult to understand, if I have to go to hospital be it for a broken arm or cancer treatment which could cost tens of thousands of pounds, far more than I would of ever of paid in national insurance its all free from the moment you walk through the door..simple

@smokyhonky84 @Grunt2A @MatrixMysteries What has the rest of the world got to do with this? In Europe a tax is taken from the public which then entitles us to free medical aid, whatever the cost will be.

It says as clear as day in the big bubble under the price "YOU ARE NOT BEING ASKED TO PAY THIS AMOUNT" It isn't a bill. This is a billing statement showing what the hospital asked the insurance company for. The $442 is what insurance agreed to pay. Patient owes nothing Don't lie for click bait

@TheOnlyLisaRhea @MatrixMysteries Can you explain this like I'm an idiot please. So in the UK, We buy a house, lets say £200,000, we get a mortgage for it, lets say for 25 years, you then get a mortgage deal, doesnt matter if the house value goes up, you just have to pay back what u borrowed plus interest

@MatrixMysteries It's a no win situation. If they don't raise your rate to cover the the "value" you end up like some folks in California who can't rebuild because the insured value is less than the new cost to rebuild. We have to get prices down for taxes and insurance across the board.

An American bought the only home he could AFFORD. It’s 45 miles from his job. That’s the tradeoff just to OWN something. Then taxes and insurance jump an EXTRA $1,000 a month. Now he can’t afford the home he already bought. This isn’t stability — it’s a rigged game.

Yes, NATO is dead now. And the final nail in its coffin was driven by the biggest useful idiot the Kremlin and Beijing have ever had in the history of the Western world. He did it out of his megalomania, ultra-vulgarity, his hunger for the easiest money and the cheapest attention, shallowness, ignorance, and an addiction to self-glorification in front of TV cameras, which has long since crossed into madness. He did it out of sheer amorality, too: an insatiable urge to humiliate, humiliate, humiliate those who depend on him, for nothing but petty self-affirmation -- while groveling before powerful and criminal enemies, just to get a scrap of their approval and feel like he belongs among the big bad guys. But his is not the end. It is the beginning of a new alliance in a new world, a change that has been overdue for far too long. The nations that remain faithful to the values of the free world will stay together. And now, on the front line of that defense, stands Ukraine, with unmatched experience of the warfare of a new era, and a military exceptional in its resilience and heroism against one of the largest and most relentless war machines in human history. Now it is time to GET FREAKING SERIOUS and truly unite around a European, Euro-Atlantic Ukraine: to help it, and to learn from it, and to absorb its priceless experience and inventions for the collective defense of the democratic West. The arsenal of democracy is here now.
