While Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) can help those who can't afford a purchase, it can also tempt those who can afford it, leading to unnecessary complexity and drop-offs. Consider testing to find the right balance for your audience's disposable income. #ecommerce #payments

5) Don’t worry about perfection. Know that (if executed correctly) this is all still infinitely better than not doing it at all. Keep using the process: analytics, research, data, to interrogate your customers and to validate what it is you’re doing before pushing it live.

Strongly advise against buying anything from @ASOS. Repeatedly & deliberately short-change me on refunds when placing large orders, plus they make it deliberately very hard to discuss refund issues. Spent literally hours on chat with idiots trying to get £155 back since August

This plays out when we ask people how they behave in surveys and then observe them doing the exact opposite in reality. People don't know why they behave the way they do. And if your customers don't know why they do what they do, then how can you possibly know?

There's a very simple reason why our opinions are so poor when it comes to making decisions about websites. It's because, when you have an opinion, you are thinking rationally about your customers' behaviour, whereas your customers are not thinking rationally as they behave.
