Like so many I hoped for better tonight. That second half and the absence of game management for far too long says it all. And probably surprises no one. 5 defeats on the trot in an awful league. 1 win in 9. Looking up at mediocrity. Such a wasted opportunity this season.

There’s always a point when the manager loses the crowd Gibson has always been very conscious of it. It starts with the away support - the most fanatical and committed section of the fan base. And - once lost - the support never fully returns. Watford is huge. Could be too late
