I’m absolutely shocked but delighted to confirm I got an MBE in the New Years Honours List. First thought was with mum and dad and wishing they could witness this. Very proud Teessider. Still can’t quite believe it.

Watching from afar I think Alfie has done an excellent job as a local newspaper reporter - one which I would have also tried to back in my local newspaper days. He reported the events, he spoke to his sources at the club and reflected their point of view in his coverage but he’s also held them to account too. That’s journalism. It’s a difficult line to walk but in my opinion he’s done it as well as he could in the circumstances #saintsfc

This is THE worst it's ever been as a Southampton fan. Worse than L1 -10pts. Embarrassing. Pointless. Eckert and anyone who knew what was being done needs sacking, immediately. The club is screwed. Even the players are pissed off, and all the best ones will be gone this summer

This feels like a free hit. If we lose then fair play and best wishes to Hull - they’ve had a magnificent season. The important thing is that Southampton lost. Badly. And they continue to make it worse. If we stay in the Championship we’ll be in far better shape than them. UTB
