This is the reason her party hasn’t recovered in polls. She knows the rise is largely due to the Iran war and wholesale costs; so do the public of course, and the market. And yet she persists in this puerile partisan gesture. Sleepwalking into irrelevance.
Kemi Badenoch@KemiBadenoch

Energy bills are rising again. Labour will blame Iran, but you’re paying more because of Ed Miliband’s net zero taxes and refusal to drill our own oil and gas. Our Cheap Power Plan would cut bills by 20% by scrapping the green taxes, scrapping VAT and drilling in the North Sea.

This is a harrowing and brave testimony. The girls at the heart of this case have shown extraordinary bravery and strength in heinous circumstances. This is an appalling case and it is right that law officers are urgently reviewing the sentences. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

There isn't a single problem in this country that the labour party aren't slowly making better. And that's the most bat shit crazy bit of British politics. The hatred and vitriol against them would make anyone think they're the ones who caused the disaster they're slowly fixing.

@HomoSocialist @janeydarling1 It truly concerns me that there are people who begrudge children these basics. Do they think that everyone has amenities like parks, leisure centres, libraries & shopping centres or even extended family on their doorstep?

Some good news you might have missed this week: Net migration at a 13-year low. UK the fastest-growing G7 economy. NHS waiting lists down half a million. Borrowing at a three-year low. Fuel duty cut extended. Inflation back to 2.8%. The country is moving in the right direction.

Good news for families - every child aged 5-15 in England will travel free on buses this summer, with unlimited journeys, no registration required, and no cost to families. Our economic plan is the right one. Tackling the cost of living and building a stronger Britain.

Starmer builds the party, takes it out of the ashes, makes it electable. Takes it from a devastating loss to a landslide. Two years later, in arrive 2 chancers & traitors who fancy their chances at playing PM & want to steal what was hard won. No credibility. Contemptible.

I love this country. I love our NHS, who looked after me when I needed a small operation just this week. I love our green spaces, the arts and culture we produce, and all the community groups giving up their time and energy to support those in need.

Just come from the King's Speech. You'll have heard a lot about personality politics lately. Today is about the politics of delivery. Keir Starmer is getting on with the job and I support him wholeheartedly. Take a look at the measures here: bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

Labour has already passed 50 new laws to tackle the cost of living, empower local communities and get a better deal for working people. In today’s King’s Speech we’re going further, with action on energy bills, national security, and making public services fit for the future.

Lots of people tell me they are fed up with how long the government is taking to make them feel better off. I say that the #Change we promised is being delivered, across growth, health, opportunity, security and green energy. But it does take time.

Reform have peaked? That’s the picture behind the news, obsessed with Labour’s losses and a leadership contest. Last year reform won 40% of all seats contested, this year it was 30% (41 v 33 to be precise). That’s a near 25% drop in 12 months and as the reality of Reform in local government continues to bite, I expect support to continue to fall. Meanwhile Labour lost 75% of seats contested in the last year, making last weeks 50% loss rate look rather better. Have Reform peaked and have Labour begun to turn a corner? That’s how I see it.
