Just a reminder: Two of the best animated films of this decade, The Mitchells vs. the Machines and Nimona, both include LGBTQ representation done naturally and effectively, with Katie Mitchell from The Mitchells being canonically queer and Nimona centering a same-sex relationship between Ballister and Ambrosius, and both films were critically acclaimed, widely loved by critics and audiences, and received major awards recognition because they’re genuinely strong, creative, and emotionally resonant stories. Undoubtedly better storytelling than these two Mario movies

I’ve noticed two very different reactions to this movie based on what political camp you reside in.
People who are progressives are leaning more toward hating the movie meanwhile people who lean to the right seem to have had a fun time watching it.
