On Sunday, a man assaulted a *child* walking with his family, hurling Islamophobic insults at them and asking, "did the Liberals bring you here?" He was charged, but @TorontoPolice didn't put out a news release, so no media coverage. This is how they manufacture the narrative.

@jonrandellsmith @residentJihadi I'm just not sure if the criticism is productive. The flotilla is going to accomplish the same thing it did months ago. If that's not exciting to you, so be it. But it's not like there is some grand strategic council that weighs the cost-benefit of each act of resistance.

My opinion: Whatever objectives another flotilla could achieve were met by the previous one. Likely outcome: Israel stops the boats, some people get jailed then sent home. We should put that money and resources towards shutting down the war industry and commerce in the West.

@PJJMD @residentJihadi I think criticism is fair, no? It's not personal, we should be able to discuss it. My broader point is, we just did this a few month's ago, which I fully supported then. I don't now. But fair point about suggesting other actions that is true. Something I and others need to do

@jonrandellsmith @residentJihadi I think estimating the strategic impact of actions vs their individual costs is a fools errand. Let folks evaluate their own costs vs. outcomes. If you think you have a better action, spend your time explaining its virtues as opposed to critiquing others' actions.

As long as we continue to materially and diplomatically support Israel, it will continue. Which is another way of saying we're the problem and we should change that

The mossad intelligence gathering ops that will sabotage the boats in Turkish ports are elsewhere busy. The foreign office that is calling up Morroco to stop them issuing a flag to the ship has stuff to do.
