@tejask @v0 @lovable @boltdotnew I tried to get all 3 to build a chrome devtools style perf timeline, @boltdotnew was the only one that could really manage it. @v0 was better at pretty much everything else

@EastlondonDev He yeah! At least I had fun doing my own thing and having some freedom to play around, I missed that in my last role.

@aye_aye_kaplan @rohanvarma @cursor_ai @amanrsanger They’re private, certainly only me, Cursor and Claude contributing. However, I forgot to mention I have two GitHub connections, one as a user and one as the org attached to my user. Guessing this is the cause!

When you go into your Bugbot dashboard and click "Manage licenses" you should see the GitHub users that have pushed PRs to your repos. If you enable Bugbot on a team, it will be enabled for all users contributing to those repos. You can set an allowlist to prevent this from happening, but my guess is 2 GitHub users pushed to your PR so 2 people have been assigned licenses.

@cursor_ai @aye_aye_kaplan @amanrsanger any plans for on-demand pricing for bugbot? I want it on projects I rarely commit to but have too many to be paying $40/month each

Team, with me as the single user, there was a reason I switched from pro but can’t remember it. I can see it as the “Amount” within Billing & Invoices page then when I open the invoice and hit “view invoice and payment details” I see BugBot Qty 2 @ 2x $40, along with my expected subscription cost.

@jont @cursor_ai @aye_aye_kaplan @amanrsanger Hey Jon! The $40/month should allow you to connect as much project repositories as you want and have BugBot review your PRs on them. As long as you connect them to your same cursor account, you should be able to get a lot of value from your single seat!

@camsoft2000 @EastlondonDev This helps but often after multiple attempts I find agents will just no-verify, even with clear rules stating not to

Using an agent to do refactoring? Then, enforce your rules via a pre-commit hook, ask the agent to commit its fixes, and it won't be able to complete its task until it fixes all the issues, as the pre-commit hook will prevent it. Give LLMs deterministic ways of validating their tasks, as it works well to keep them on track.

git has been ok so far, but edits/additions to the todos on branches means others don’t know them until they are merged. Need to merge just to mark a todo as in progress so that no other person/agent picks it up by mistake. Could also be solved with some rules and automation/scripts but it was also the first idea I had for getting properly stuck into the agents sdk!

@threepointone Pretty sure I get more consistent coverage, and possibly faster, on the underground than on that line. Still not as bad as the cross country trains to Leicester though!

free idea to kick up the national gdp: bathe the edinburgh - london train line with good wifi. starlink, phone towers, whatever works. and serve nootropics in the little kitchen things.

@kingsley_kelly @forgebitz this is the bit that many people seem to miss, companies don’t need all of Calendly and its architecture etc, they can just hand pick bits, have AI build something that looks and works just enough for their use case.

The important thing is that you're not building Saas. You're building personal software. Sticky notes beat Linear for one person. My git config is not the best, but it works for me. Personal Calendlys don't need robust security, don't handle payments, don't have Status Pages, CI and a daily standup. If you get attacked nuke the servers. If you have a critical bug start again.

if you think you can build calendly inhouse with 15 hours of prompting and vibe coding you have no idea how software works

if you get the time to watch this full thing, it would probably be productive. this is the first Peterson interview i ever watched, lmao. and his full documentary thing, where he has to secretly record people admitting things bc they were paid off not to talk, is on Robinson’s own profile.

@ScriptedAlchemy @ryanhuellen As long as there is something similar to the runtime plugin, we can hopefully make it work for our requirements, but I fear we’re not going to get that

@ryanhuellen Looks like it won’t be Module Federation ™️ but still a big win, app router is tough to reverse engineer.

@jherr Yes what a rollercoaster of emotions that was! NextJS + Module Federation was the only solution that met all our business requirements so the excitement that we might be getting official support was intense

This is bumming me out. twitter.com/jaredpalmer/st… I do think RSC federation alone is very cool. But getting jazzed about first class Module Federation on NextJS, which I have wanted for years, and then finding out it's not happening, doesn't feel good at all.

@jherr @ScriptedAlchemy @nextjs yeah consider that original tweet mentioning “module” a typo

@ScriptedAlchemy Good luck! Thie could be great for what we’re attempting. I'm still getting to grips with all the pieces in the repo but would be happy to try and help, even if just testing
