I recently went to St George’s Hospital in London to teach @NHSEngland rheumatology doctors about female hormones. For those of you who don’t know, rheumatologists specialise in a variety of conditions that can affect your muscles or joints, so considering hormones as part of this is really important. All of them told me that they are consulting with women regularly who have muscle and joint pains so it was an opportunity to shine a light on how low hormones can lead to a range of symptoms, including muscle and joint pains, and how HRT and also testosterone can help... It was brilliant to be asked so many questions and see so much interest in female hormones though across the room.
