When I describe East Coast vs West Coast culture to my friends I often say "The East Coast is kind but not nice, the West Coast is nice but not kind," and East Coasters immediately get it. West Coasters get mad. 😂😂😂

Young people may not know this but there was a time when the internet had thousands of quirky, informative websites, when you could spend hours browsing and come away smarter rather than dumber. We have seen a wonderful thing destroyed in our lifetimes.

I genuinely believe this is the worst era of the Internet in regards to the user experience.

Yetu has never spent a day in our care. She's an entirely wild elephant – born to ex-orphan Yatta in 2012. Yet she keeps coming back. When her son Yebo was born in 2022, she brought him straight to the stockades to meet the Keepers who raised her mother. On 7th December, she did it again – this time with a brand new daughter. Her name is Yasmin. And just like that, Yatta is a grandmother twice over. Yetu's name means 'ours' in Swahili. It couldn't be more fitting: sheldrickwildlifetrust.org/news/updates/y…

Short but sweet, when you know his story! Sapalan was rescued from the Mara Triangle in 2017, alone and vulnerable after losing his mother. Today, this once-malnourished calf is enjoying a fully wild life in the vast Tsavo wilderness — living proof of what’s possible with care, protection, and a second chance. Discover Sapalan’s full story: swt.bio/sapalan #RescueRaiseRewild

If they’re using Signal for a military strike, then they’re using Signal for everything in government. AND IT’S ALL GETTING DELETED IN VIOLATION OF FEDERAL LAW.

Top Trump officials accidentally texted U.S. war plans to journalist Jeffrey Goldberg. Senior Trump administration officials used the commercial messaging app Signal to debate the pros and cons of launching military strikes against the Houthis in Yemen and accidentally invited Jeffrey Goldberg, editor-in-chief of The Atlantic and Washington Week moderator, to be part of the chat. Goldberg revealed the details in a report for The Atlantic and joined Amna Nawaz to discuss more.

We've basically built a fully automated storybook. You can see every single component and their props. Even if the component is calling a database to render data in which case we automatically mock the data. Over the past 5 months, We've talked to hundreds of companies. Pretty much every single company has storybook in their codebase except it's a graveyard because the maintenance burden is too high and it eventually gets abandoned. What if you can get a storybook of all your components with a single click of a button?
Gabriella@GabriellaHach

Dessn now automatically renders every component that exists in your codebase (with their props). Finally giving devs and designers access to a shared source of truth, coming directly from code. Oh also, zero implementation or maintenance effort.
