Look at when Kevin De Bruyne won it - he backed it up with trophies. Ozil didn’t win the PFA despite his incredible performances. I’m trying to control myself, but the facts speak clearly. What more do you want from Declan Rice? He has won multiple Player of the Match awards in the Champions League and the Premier League. Now he’s a Premier League champion and Arsenal’s Player of the Season. He’s also going to play in the Champions League final, while Bruno will be watching from the television. If Declan wins the Champions League, then for me he should be in the conversation for the Ballon d’Or. That’s the only way this makes sense. The Premier League should do better with these awards.

A league where you have three clubs in a European finals with one of them winning the league, yet the best player of they year award has gone to a guy that plays for the 3rd best team in the country that finished 20pts behind the title winners. Under this heavy down poor, they are soaked in water in pursue of education, some of them have raincoats but most of them don’t, some are in casual clothes with their uniforms neatly packed in their school bags; they remove the wet casual clothes and put on their uniforms when they reach school. They are freezing and trembling but yet very determined, they refuse to give up on their future. Usually when I find them, I give them a lift up to their schools. I discuss with them what they want to become in future, I advise them where necessary, give them some ka pocket money and leave. May the dreams and aspirations of these little lads come true. Please whenever you meet them and have space in your car, don’t let them soak in water, drop them off at their schools.
