Dominic King blaming "offshore gambling bots" for Liverpool’s toxic season is a massive cop-out. It completely scapegoats a few loud accounts to invalidate legitimate fan frustration over ownership, recruitment, and Slot’s management.

@Sutton1322 @greggmunikwa Felt worse than it was because of the CL exit and the cup final I reckon. Also Mo dipped off after Feb from a historic start, which affected the team's output up top. But results were still far from bad.

I wanted Slot out for months now but now that he's staying this is why I'm going to back him. Some of the stuff I've read online last few weeks has been disgusting - mainly from fans who don't go the game. Here's my essay if anyone's arsed to read it (done talking about it after this) 1) "He won the league with Klopp's team" - no he didn't retain Klopp's tactics, he changed them massively. We went from pressing high to a mid block with controlled possession. It wasn't the most exciting last year, it won't be "heavy metal football" next year either. Managers do not turn rubbish over a summer. 2) "He's boring" - definitely more boring than Jurgen, but just to be clear, if you win the league no one cares about being "entertained", the entertainment is success. It wasn't an issue last year, it wasn't an issue with Arteta now he's won the league. There's a reason even peak Guardiola played a controlled style of footy rather than "heavy metal" 3) "Injuries aren't an excuse" - of course they are. Guardiola, one of the greatest managers of our generation could not win a trophy and struggled massively last year when he had serious injuries. Our league win last year was a big part down to NOT having injuries, and Arsenal couldn't keep up cause they constantly did.

@greggmunikwa @IWLFC98 From Feb we had 11, wins, 6 losses, and 2 draws. 2 losses and 2 of those draws were after we had already clinched the title. This narrative that our form went off a cliff in February is just laughable and not based on any fact. 👍

1) he did win the league with Klopps team. When he started implementing his own actual style around February, that’s when the football dried up and you could see the issues we are seeing now starting to form. 2) boring football is sound when you’re winning. But the football is neither winning or entertaining or galvanising. It’s stale shite and infective 3) injuries are an excuse if there’s a clear difference in quality from when you have a full squad to when the injuries appear. Liverpool have not seen a drop off or improvement from when we’ve had injuries or not had injuries in certain departments on the pitch. It’s been the exact same through out the entire season. If injuries really impacted us there would be a clear drop off, there wasn’t. It was just always bad.

@Corballyred xavi simons doesn't have barcola's game-breaking pace to stretch PL defences though, i personally would sign abde ezzalzouli as he's half the price and can allocate the rest of the funds to another position while having a great 1v1 winger. doesn't mean i don't want barcola lol

I'm sorry I don't buy into the Barcola hype. We need a Diaz or Mane style attacker not another attacker who doesn't work hard off the ball. That was a massive problem this season. Also he cuts in most of the time, we need a winger who is going to be crossing into Isak to play to his strengths, not another winger doing a Gakpo and cutting in every time. He also has only 13 goal contributions this season in Ligue 1. Another Xavi Simons, hyped because he plays with PSG. Avoid.

@Aj_LFC20 I’ve had some friendly discussions with fans who want him out. But mostly, anything said about him is extreme and usually met with vitriol on both sides. People hate being wrong these days
