My view of AC in Europe is pretty simple. Government restrictions on AC use are dumb.
People who want it, and can afford it, should be allowed to install it.
Many familes won't want AC (too expensive, too little use), but that should be a personal decision, not a state one.

The EU really thinks they rule the world. Their entire regulatory attitude is: “Do exactly as we tell you to do, and nothing more.” It's purely a dictatorship disguised as a democracy
You try to comply with one lunatic policy just to get them off your back, and boom... here comes another one, and another one... It's not just for the EU, they've become a pain in the backside for the entire world
Then one day, they hit you with a massive fine and try to loot up to half of your global REVENUE. Not even your profit... your gross revenue
It's pure extortion. Straight-up economic terrorism dressed in a suit

The United States opposes any efforts to incorporate European preference in the EU Defense Procurement Directive. We fully support European rearmament and a revitalization of the European defense industrial base. However, European preference in the Directive would undermine member state flexibility to make national procurement purchases, hinder European rearmament efforts, create barriers for Allies reaching NATO capability targets, and run counter to European commitments in the 2025 U.S.-EU Joint Statement on trade and Reciprocal Defense Procurement Agreements.

Canada cannot buy F-35s from the US. We can’t even be sure they would be delivered. As well, how do we know there isn’t some kill switch in there that they could turn on at anytime.

NEW: 🇺🇸🇨🇭The US has seized funds from Switzerland for Tomahawks they don’t want to deliver - Srf news Switzerland ordered some Tomahawks years ago. Now the US said they can't deliver them. So Switzerland said then we won't pay. The US have now seized the funds Switzerland paid for the F-35s (which they probably won't get either ) instead.
