I made my first $1000 on @gumroad with a short course on mastering procrastination with ADHD. It's my first small bet a la @SmallBetsDotCom & @dvassallo. Now onto my next bet: An ADHD-friendly meditation workshop.

Many health journeys start with bad advice. Years on restrictive diets like GAPS don't lead to health. Real healing involves concepts like low Vitamin A & low copper. Full Episode on YT: Low "vitamin" A Gerbil Experiment + Megan’s Healing Journey | LYLL #222

I booked a place in Belgium through AirBnB. In late April I had a seizure and spent the night in hospital. As a result I can't travel, and can't get travel insurance. I messaged AirBnB support a few days after leaving hospital to cancel and get a refund. The support agent objectively told me they can override the host if the host refuses the refund. The host did refuse the refund. So I went to AirBnB support yesterday to send evidence of my hospital visit and diagnosis of seizures, and the reply from support was merely that the host refuses the cancellation. Then when I reminded the support person that they said they could override the host, the support person offered £175 in AirBnB credit, which is less than what was offered a few weeks ago. AirBnB support is all over the place, an absolute joke. I cannot travel, at all. I have evidence of a serious hospitalisation. And this is all AirBnB can offer? Ridiculous. I have photographic evidence of all of the chats with the support and evidence of my hospitalisation. @AirbnbHelp please look into my case, i want a full refund -- particularly now after having spent countless hours chasing your support team around.

If you're getting your health advice from TIME magazine, you're an idiot.

If you spend all day reading self-help books written by success addicted americans you're going to want to build a multi-million dollar business, buy a yacht, and visit 5-star hotels. Once you become aware of mimetic desire and stop reading that dross, it's quite likely you will no longer want those things. To take this further, if after you burn all your self-help books you go on a dopamine detox and happen to spend time alone in nature for a few days, you might find that your own natural, non-mimetic, desires arise from somewhere.

It might be a radical idea, but I’ve taken the extreme decision to drop my ADHD diagnosis altogether. I decided I would no longer be held back from life by a diagnosis that was made purely on a subjective basis. One, I might add, that anyone with 30 minutes of training could also get. And yes, I do mean anyone.

Number 5 explains why 99.9% of people who write (only) about writing are dull as dishwater C.S. Lewis advice on writing.

@NapierHolland @matthew_elliott Understood. I mentioned Cyprus to my wife and she said maybe for 6 months a year, the rest it too hot. I may have to keep negotiating with her.

The Government will collect £331bn in income tax this year, and spend £333bn on welfare. In other words, we now spend more on people not working than we raise from those who do. And the cost? Debt per person has risen from £11.5k in 2000 (inflation adjusted) to over £41k today.

@NapierHolland @matthew_elliott After you mentioned Cyrus I looked at the tax system. I may have this wrong but is the company tax free but the individual is taxed?

The way the renters rights bill has tipped things so massively in favour of tenants is unreal. Someone can basically use a house intended as a long term rental, like an airbnb. Move in and give 2 months notice on day one.
Moving Home with Charlie@moving_charlie

All Tenants: From 1st May 2026 you will be able to serve 2 month's notice to end your tenancy, even if you signed a 12 month fixed term that isn't finished yet. No exceptions. If you're on an Assured Shorthold Tenancy, even a fixed term one, it converts to 2m notice overnight.

@NapierHolland @_Unknown_D_ would love to. i think we're stuck in the uk until our disabled son finishes primary school at least. it's a special school that is extremely good at dealing with him. but that boy loves sunshine so one day soon we'll be on a plane.

spot on. the number of times i've had people who've used my drug free adhd method try to subtly blame me when they didn't stick to the basic habits they promised they would is astounding. tbh, i don't think people really give a fuck about adhd anymore. and the wake up call is required for the LONG TERM sanity of all.

Yeah, the Left always does this — they move so aggressively that the general public notices and shuts them down. They're be far more dangerous if they were patient and moved slowly — but they lack the social skils, self-awareness and discipline to do this. There's already a shift in the general public's patience toward people using 'our' conditions to avoid work. They'll likely wake up and realise the grift is over — but they have a lot of work to develop functional, useful work skills. What's your take?

There are two types of people with ADHD: 'I despise tedious, repetitive tasks so much that I...' 1. Don't do them. 2. Work hard to understand, outsource and automate them, so I can focus on interesting things. Guess which group are more happy and free.

@_Unknown_D_ I sold my UK apartment. Instead of being rented out, it's now owned by a Chinese investor. I've exited the UK and now live in a warm country with a special low-tax visa. Exactly as the Left have incentivised me to do. So they must be happy to hear this?

The last car we bought was a @Tesla Model Y. Painless purchase process. No salespeople, no showroom, no upsells, no games, no haggling, no pressure. Just a personal choice on my own time, and a simple few-minute process handled entirely via a clear and straightforward app. The next car we're buying is from another brand. And holy hell, it feels like I'm going back in time. Salespeople, back-and-forth charades, pricing games, "when can you come in?" before the deal is finalized tactics, etc. And I'm still doing it all via email so I don't have to deal with the showroom antics. I've modernized the process as much as I can from my side, and yet it's the same old same old. They don't even feel like the same thing. In one case I'm buying a car with all the baggage that comes with buying a car. In the other case I'm buying a Tesla with none of the baggage of buying a car. This experience could make me lament this other brand, but what it really does is make me appreciate and respect the lengths to which Tesla has fully reconfigured the car buying experience. It's become effortless, like buying any other product. As it should be. A car is just another product. Bravo.
