Allie, ever so gently but thoroughly, pressed French (heh) She showed how French dishonestly claimed she was champion of political cruelty. How French could not rationally justify a vote for Kamala Harris. And finally how French ignores heresy from Talarico because he’s “polite”
Allie Beth Stuckey@conservmillen

I asked David French about his article calling James Talarico a Christian example in light of Talarico’s statements in support of transing kids, abortion, and God being “non-binary.” French: “I’m just not willing to say James Talarico is not a Christian.” My response:

“In the cry of Jesus we are dealing not with a subjective but with an objective God-forsakenness: He did not feel alone but had in fact been forsaken by God. His feeling was not an illusion, not based on a false view of his situation, but corresponded with reality” Herman Bavinck

"Christ did indeed suffer eternal damnation, for eternal damnation, death, & pain consist in total separation from God, in the total manifestation of divine wrath, & all of this for such a duration until the punishment upon sin was perfectly & satisfactorily born." W. à Brakel

There is not a single Muslim controlled nation in the world that recognizes free speech, freedom of religion, or basic human rights. There is not a single Muslim controlled region that respects your precious pluralism. Wherever they hold power, they oppress women and persecute Christians. Yet we have both Protestant and Catholic leadership trying to tell the rank-and-file that we should have some sort of communion with Islam and that we worship the same God. I pray for every single Muslim to come to Christ. But in the inimitable words of Jack Nicholson in As Good as It Gets, sell crazy somewhere else. We’re all stocked up here.

We would not allow anyone who denies that Jesus was forsaken by God on the cross to be a member of our church. If anything is a Gospel issue, this is it!

Don’t Miss A Great Awakening! Mally and I took some of our children and grandchildren to see the new movie produced by Sight and Sound – A Great Awakening. We all loved it! It’s one of the best movies I’ve ever seen. It’s emotional and very convicting—a movie about the life of the famous preacher George Whitefield. I was so thrilled our family could see this. I encourage every family to find a theater near you that is showing it and do not miss it! It may only be in theaters for another few days or so—it’s in about 1,000 theaters through this weekend. A GREAT AWAKENING tells the true story of an unlikely friendship that resulted in one of the most defining moments in American history. With the colonies on the brink of collapse, the Reverend George Whitefield sparks the First Great Awakening, uniting an entire generation with his thundering proclamation of liberty in Christ. In a miraculous turn of events, one of Whitefield’s closest friends and greatest promoters becomes none other than Benjamin Franklin. With the nation’s freedom hanging in the balance, Franklin discovers true liberty cannot only be written into law—it must be awakened in the hearts of the people. The film will be available for rentals/purchases mid-May, but if you can go and experience it on the big screen, I urge you to do so. Warning: It will create a great awakening in you! It convicted me to be even more bold about proclaiming God’s Word and the gospel and calling out the error of church leaders leading people astray! @ScottAniol The beginning of Psalm 22 is about the cross. The end is about the resurrection. It is dangerous to pit the two against each other. Jesus was cursed, crushed, cut off, exiled, smitten, stricken, pierced, & afflicted. He was not spared. Drank the cup of wrath. That's forsaken.

@ScottAniol Psalm 16 says no Sheol & no corruption for David. This is ultimately about Jesus (See Acts 2). The reason David was not forsaken is because Jesus truly was forsaken. The reason David will rise from the dead is because Jesus truly did. That's the Gospel. No hope without it.
