I spoke to the guy who is staking 80m $RSR on $eUSD, who's a confirmed non-team, non-seed investor holder. He's currently making around $1,380 a week (~$71,000 a year) in return for governance and overcollateralization - is he the first Rangatoni to have "retiring" money from RSR staking? His words: "I can't believe people aren't talking about this yet. I think they will soon enough." If eUSD 10x's its market cap to $210m (or higher and higher), maybe that opportunity exists for 10m, 5m, 1m RSR holders down the line 🔥 Although (I hear you barking big dog) if $eUSD's m-cap increases that much... ➡️ won't the dollar value yields increase? ➡️ making more RSR holders stake? ➡️ diluting the APYs? Absolutely - which means more of the circulating supply of RSR gets locked up. eUSD can 10x (and beyond) in m-cap (which would still be a relatively small $210m stablecoin), but if staked RSR goes up 10x, that means 40bn, or 80% of circulating supply, gets locked up 👀 Remember that RSR is a fixed total supply, and the $$$s of real-world yield from the underlying assets of an RToken are purchased in RSR from the market. Also keep in mind we're only talking about eUSD here (itself about to be rolled out as a zero-cost remittance solution between the Americas) - who knows how hard all the other RTokens / future RTokens will fight to attract RSR stakers? 100bn stops sounding like a large supply if you get 20 asset-backed currencies chasing 5bn RSR each, and stakers wanting to divide their bags across various RTokens. Back to the present: For now there are two RTokens with over $20m m-cap. And one Rangatoni having passive income from supporting a better class of #stablecoin.
