@semifreqsonic I would slight counterpoint, I think the studio actually listening to the outrage of this creature and then correcting it, is the single most important thing to happen to the franchise.

As we ready ourselves for the annual debate about Die Hard and Lethal Weapon being Christmas movies, it seems necessary to mention… Batman returns to his city, having previously been driven out of it, impoverished, broken and left to die in a pit. The Dark Knight, who is not the hero we deserve, but the one we need, defeats his enemy in broad daylight on the steps of justice. He rescues his people from their envy and despair, the same people who had been warped by a false liberator. He dies so that they might live, rising again as a man without shadow, rescuing and redeeming a thief in the process and adorning her with his mother’s pearls of great price. He leaves an heir in his wake to carry his work forward. The Dark Knight Rises is an Easter movie, yes, but it begins in the fall and carries through the bleak midwinter. So it’s also a Christmas movie. 😉

Why don’t more companies do this? What’s the holdup? What’s the major price point? If someone ikea flat packed it with a complete kit of mechanical, electrical, plumbing etc. in three different styles, I feel like they would make a killing.

@MichaelFKane An excellent addition sir! Imrahil is the bomb, he and Eomer becoming immediate bros at the battle of the Pelennor is one my favorite book moments.

Prince Imrahil and the Knights of Dol Amroth. Tolkien himself suggests that Gondor is a "kind of proud, venerable but increasingly impotent Byzantium." We could have had Lord of the Rings cataphracts on screen, guys. (Also Imrahil is a w9nderful character.)
