@Vivek4real_ While more bitcoins can’t be created, why couldn’t an another coin with identical properties as bit coin be created? This would have the same effect as inflating the supply of Bitcoin and reducing its purchasing power. I still haven’t found a compelling defense of this question.

I could say my bank has identical properties to other banks, but track record and trust can't be duplicated, so other chains lack this.

One property of bitcoin is that its chain has 45 quadrillion computer operations per second...can some other chain duplicate that? None have so far.

@glgoodwin22 @Vivek4real_ 1. This has happened many times. The market decides how much value to put into each coin, which is reflected by their price. So similar to all other currencies, its ultimate value is decided by the market, and other coins haven't been as valuable for as long.
