More evidence of the AI conversation coming back to deterministic systems. Love to see it. If you: - Have a deep understanding on when to implement deterministic systems vs. when to implement LLMs, and; - Are skilled at using LLMs to write deterministic code, and; - You know how to deploy that deterministic code: I think you are well-positioned to capture a share of the surging demand for "AI automation" right now

I’m coming to the conclusion that the biggest challenge for Enterprise AI, and AI in general , as of now, is that it’s still impossible to make sure that everyone gets the same answer to the same question, every time. Which is a great response to the doomers. AI doesn’t know the consequences of its output. Judgement and the ability to challenge AI output is becoming increasingly necessary, and valuable. Which makes domain knowledge more valuable by the second. Am I wrong ?

@JoshuaEbner @HumbleFlow You won’t look at Islam the same way. You will also find it hard to comprehend the sacrifice and heroism of the men in the stories. Written by an Egyptian Coptic Christian using Christian and Islamic accounts as reference.

@pmarca I'd try to tell them what a MUD is, but they'd clearly think I'm a r****rd for thinking they were fun.

The year of the harness 🤝 Harnesses are our most direct layer to turn a model into a great product experience for users by shaping model behavior towards a goal This matters today because models have crossed an intelligence + capabilities threshold such that they can be efficiently guided via harness design techniques like: - problem decomposition and routing to subagents - long running loops with intermediate verification - skills can be applied via in-context learning and it largely just works today Let a million tailored harness variants bloom, each beautifully designed as products that make people’s lives better 🚀

has anyone tried just asking 5.5 to think about what open problems it wants to solve for 20 hours? i honestly think it might be the year of the harness. ridiculous abstract multi-agent prompt loops just kind of work now…

Starting to see more sensible AI takes on here. A few I've noticed (that I agree with): - In many cases, a deterministic automation is superior to an LLM, and you should know when to use each - You'll often have more success with 1-3 focused agent sessions than with a swarm of agents you can't keep track of - Not everyone wants to build their own software
