"What will people say?"
A question that has silenced too many voices for too long.
At @Midrifthurinet, we are reframing this narrative.
It should build us.
Through our Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) programming, we are creating safe spaces where conversations on mental wellbeing are normalized, not feared.
Because mental health is not a weakness, it is a shared human experience shaped by the realities of everyday life.
We believe communities are caregivers, first responders, and champions of dignity.
When we shift from judgment to empathy, from stigma to support, we unlock healing that goes beyond the individual to families and entire communities.
Let's choose to say things that heal.
Let's choose to listen.
Let's choose to support.

Tomorrow marks the last mile and final opportunity for eligible citizens to register as voters under the Enhanced Continuous Voter Registration exercise (ECVR 1). Our Jisajili Tents initiative, will be on the ground in Muchukwo, Barwesa and Kuikui mobilizing wananchi to turn out, register, and secure their voice in the democratic process.
We are calling on all eligible residents, especially youth and first-time voters, to visit the registration centres before the deadline. Every registration count, every voice matters, and every voter shapes the future.
Last day. Last mile. Be heard. Be counted

Do you remember CUCU CONTRACTOR?.. Ol Kalou town is clean today because of this lady, she was nicknamed Cucu Contractor for her tremendous work in the county and its such a shame because she died because of unpaid bills from the County Government by the then Governor Kimemia.
Hannah Ndugire was in 2021 rescued by neighbours while trying to commit suicide. She later on died while battling depression since the County Government of Nyandarua led by the Gov Kimemia refused to pay her Ksh139M for cabro & paving work done in Ol Kalou town.

did you know that there's only 1 psychiatrist per 500,000 people in Kenya?
and 80% of counties lack functioning mental health services,
and 25% of youth report symptoms of depression?

So, now a woman has to carry the blame? This script is familiar! The scapegoating of women must end!

@joymilele @TheEniggma Also the president asked for 30 days I think to respond to the recommendations but it seems the days have elapsed without him doing a thing.

@TheEniggma You have put it very well @joymilele handling survivors on a case to case basis would be more efficient, also at the end of the day every case is unique in it's own way and ensuring a survivor centered solution is the best approach.
English
@TheEniggma We need integrated, survivor-centered service delivery systems and strengthen witness protection and victim safety mechanisms this will enhance witness safety thus free to testify
