@Bear_of_Logres I think the difference is that most “on the left” come to the place where they see they don’t fit in the PCA anymore and leave. Most “on the right” believe if they can quote the Standards then “they’re good.” They don’t see in inconsistency in their life and teaching.

The PCA clearly has effective self-regulations mechanisms. The problem is that it won’t apply them to those who err on the left. But those to the right? Full send. The PCA is at risk of becoming extremely irrelevant.

Rev. Appleton is a godly and faithful man whom the Lord will reward. If you cannot preach Titus 2 without women (and the Elders) in the church getting angry, then it is the women and weak Elders who need to be disciplined and not faithful ministers. And frankly Rev. Appleton is pretty mild-mannered on top of it all.
